This is a first generation Kindle with something over 150 books in there. It's a little battered now, but still a constant companion.

No, it doesn't replace 'real' books but it sure does help keep the bookshelves from falling down.

Oh, yes. That surface it is sitting on? It's a table that's seen a lot of use, but no, not as a floor.

I wish the background matched the subject matter better. Why would you put an expensive piece of electronics on the floor? A white background would have been cleaner and would have made more sense than a floor.

Does this meet the challenge? Unfortunately I have to say yes, even though I think this is not what a book should look like in my view.
