Nice idea, buy way over exposed

Wayyyy overexposed and the focus seems off. Try a low aperture and a fast shutter, or shoot in a darker spot.

Idea is good, but there is too much (sun)light! My eyes feel pain with this light. And the water in the bottle is almost white.

How about a solid background - less distraction, more product emphasis
07/13/2004 04:40:21 AM
It's not so clear, sligtly out of focus?
The bottle is too much in light. Good idea and great title!

Good composition. Technically this photo has room for improvement, though. There is a lot of blown out white areas with no detail. The harsh mid-day shadows are also pretty aweful.

the brightness in the picture is uneven to the point of being annoying. Certain portions (top) are overexposed and at bottom it is clearly very dark. There is no
clear focus on either foreground or background. If the glass would have been in clear focus the sharpness around the stem and the clarity of water smoothly overflowing could have given a very nice impression. It appears that the glass has alot of smudge marks .. that is distracting too.

I can't see the product label clearly. I don't understand the choice to crop the bottom of the glass. This is not a great liquid shot. The water looks murky and unappetizing. This is quite overexposed. The blown-out bottle almost disappears into the blown-out sky.

the water, the bottle, the glass all look overexposed.

Very washed out. Looses detail.

Great idea, unfortunatly the background distracts a bit and also the bottle is overexposed.
07/08/2004 05:26:38 PM
This image would be nice if you toned down the brightness considerably. I can ahrdly see the bottle, it's so bright.

Could be worse, but it just looks like a point and shoot photo- there's way too much overexposure, and it just appears somewhat takcy in quality. The composition's nice, but it's just lacking a little bit.

Good idea but product is lost in background and not sharp. maybe if bacground was out of focus? Not usre but it jsut does not do it for me. Sorry.

The brand on the water bottle looks like you were trying to hide it. Should be more prominent for an advertisement.
07/08/2004 07:06:55 AM
Good idea. Composition is fine. Sky and highlights are blown out, however, which hurts the overall impact.
07/08/2004 06:35:43 AM
Great idea, but the focus just seems to be a litlle off.
07/07/2004 03:37:41 PM
I think the light is way too bright. Very over exposed at the top and a lot of the detail of your bottle is burned out.
07/07/2004 03:55:28 AM
The idea is good but unfortenatly it is to over exposed.. There is not much details left of the botle and the sky. My guess is that your camera was fooled by the green and dark foilage in the background. The camera though it was much darker and the shot got overexposed. To solve this kind of problems you can try and expose at something on aproximatly the same distance, with more natrual light. Lookthat expsure and turn the camera against your composition.

Maybe a tad too overexposed?
But I'm thirsty anyway, 5 :-)
07/06/2004 11:33:53 PM
blowned highlight
07/06/2004 11:24:56 PM
There is a lot of glare in this photo
07/06/2004 08:54:27 PM
The sunlight is very overpowering. Great idea, but it needs to be toned down.
07/06/2004 08:44:58 PM
The background is very distracting from what might have been an absolutely spectacular picture. Still, I do like this one.
