This is some sort of nymph; I think a Leafhopper of some sort. Until I started playing in the Macro Side Challenge I had never looked quite so closely at all the little "spots" on my garden's leaves. Turns out a lot of them are critters!
36mm + 20mm extension tubes, handheld, diffused flash. This baby bug is very small! Sitting on an Autumn Joy Sedum leaf.
PP - cropped, increased saturation on red-yellow, levels, increased contrast, colored a few yellow blotchy bits on leaf greener, dodged/burnt bug some, cloned/burned bright spot in background, cloned out sensor dust spots, resized, sharpened, added border. |
