Well, I gave it a 6, so that makes me one of your admirers :-) Congrats on grabbing Brown with a truly memorable image. |

Having mistaken the lip of the pouring spout as a stream of gravy, the title befuddled rather than clarified my interpretation of the image. I see it now, and can only admire the way your thinking out of the boat. |

A lot of good pictures and ideas have earned this distinction...

Your original quote was just the sort of thing I was hoping for and was a nice way to start the week, so thank you. |

I understood your idea immediately, it was a nice concept. I just think, maybe not for this challenge, if it wasn't for the title I would have completely lost, so good thinking there. Not a bad photo at all-try for an abstract challenge. I like that you went for something original though.

While I usually like abstract pictures - not sure what this is and the title doesn't help that fact. |

I don't think I see or get it... I'd like to know about it when it's done. Won't vote yet until I've had another gander at it later.
Later: Ah. Gravy boat. Of course. (was tired last night when I commented I guess so didn't 'get it') I like the idea. Definitely different.
It's an interesting photo. To be honest I can't see much that's going to make me vote highly in it. But don't take that as meaning I'm not voting high because it's different. I just don't think the different is done well... sorry. |

Ohhhh, it took me a while to connect "gravy" with "boat". Creative idea, but the photo looks more like...well, I'm not sure what it looks like. Here's hoping to more people connecting with your idea! |

Not sure about this one at all. Oouuh....gravy boat, off course, how dumb of me not to have gotten it right away especially with the title as a clue.

I have no freaking idea what I am looking at. It's a cool abstract, though it may or may not be a boat. Ok, duh, it's a gravy boat! Now I'm arguing with my wife over whether this meets the challenge in a creative OOTB way. Let's look at the challenge description:
"Big boats, little boats, toy boats, dinghies, sailboats, rowboats, ocean liners, speed boats, cargo ships, cruise ships, etc... take a picture and try to float the voters boat!"
I say it falls under "Etc." |
