A last minute idea, as I couldn't think of anything during the week, and felt compelled to enter as I don't have a stirling track record to keep up :-).
Hand held shot, both the camera and the light meter . Two naked incandescent lights over a wooden desk. The props were the only two photographic items I had in the room, an old box brownie and a Canon flash with remote cord.
I'll be interesting to see if anyone makes a comment about the generations of technology, the modern flash, 70's spot meter and 40's box brownie.
I'll also be interested to see how many people don't know what it is. :-).
For those interested, the meter reading is from the desk surface, although I it was direct light reflection as EV 13.5 is a bit high for indoors under 2x100W lights.
Post editing was just USM, scale and frame in the gimp, this is full-frame for once. |

Thanks for your comments..
Another lesson learnt about DPC. Check/correct the whitebalance before uploading a pic to DPC ;-).
I'm quite happy with how it placed though, I don't have high expectations of a photo that took me all of 5 minutes from idea to upload. |

Except that this looks like it's from a magazine in the 70's, I think it's a great ad. Nice DOF. |
