 I convinced Krystal to do this shoot today. It was fun. I don't know whether this picture will be rated on how close it is to the original or on its own merit.

This is the first time I have seen this shot and I am actually stunned that is barely got a 6. This is amazing.

Out of all the 'Afghan Girl's in this challenge, this is the only one that managed to capture the intense gaze of the original.

Manny as shocking as the fact that there were so many Afghan Girl photos is the fact that this did not finish higher. Sorry, I think a lot of AG shots were robbed.

I love how you did this, but you also kept your signature style which I really love! This was also my fave afghan girl:D Beautiful eyes beautifully captured!

Great photography Manny, as usual. I just don't get how it wasn't scored way higher than that. The number of portraits in the challenge, I guess... still, a wonderful capture, my favorite of the Afghan girls by a large margin!

Manny - this is all pulled together so nicely - the hue of her lips, scarf, wall and under garment - very nice!! I ran out of (virtual) ribbons for our team!! Seriously - impressive work!

Nice touch with the rips. I like this one second best of the, gasp, 15 versions entered. Of course I like my own the best. ;) But actually yours is a better mimic.
