 Look at that little face! I can't help but giggle. He probably thinks I look funny, too ;-)

I have no idea what this is. Maybe a nymph of some kind because it's TINY (that's a small daylily leaf it's sitting on). There should be a rule that baby bugs look like miniature adults so I can ID them more easily!

Handheld, 36mm extension tube.

PP - crop, little dodge/burn on the buglet, lightened and then increased contrast, resized, sharpened, added border.

ETA: re-edited with a little tonemapping on the bug and a slightly wider crop. He looks much better!

I usually find the bug pictures creepy, but this one makes me laugh, it's like he's posing, sticking his tongue out at out at you. Love the colours and lines :)

I really like this image, the OOF blade in the back really balances the composition and the whole thing brings you back to the subject with leading lines. Colors pop and good focus.
