 I went out in this wonderful evening light to shoot for the macro side challenge and subsequently realized this image might work for the "double take" challenge.

Pods on a scotch broom plant. Back lit by the late evening sun they are almost translucent. Later in the year they will dry out, turn black, and burst open, expelling the seeds seen here in silhouette. Thus starting the next generation of plants...
