 Angels on the performance hall in downtown Fort Worth.

Had a lot of trouble getting this to look smooth and strong under basic rules. Topaz Denoise was a huge help in getting the sky to look smooth and clean without killing off detail on the angel statues.

Composition is a little odd, with the subjects over on the right of the frame, but perhaps that will be a difference that helps it to stand out. Could have benefited from some more dramatic clouds that afternoon, but nature does not always give us what we want.

Anticipated critiques:
-Composition a little odd.
-Perhaps somebody will see slight haloing

Post-challenge notes:
Can't complain about this! Interestingly, I felt my HDR entry of the same subject was better, though it averaged well under a 6. There were many other variables involved between the two challenges, though.

I just loved this image, it was one of my highest votes. The colours, the composition and everything about the shot is wonderful..

Congrats on the score, Steve! Of course, I thought that this should have ribboned. :)

There's NOTHING wrong with the composition! It's wonderful as is! I think that's what grabbed a lot of higher scores. Look at the 7's, 8's, 9's and 10's that you got! :) It's a tremendous shot and well done...in spite of some of the challenges that you say you faced in the smoothing of the sky. I think you did a wonderful job on it and I love it! :) Going to fave it now :)
