 I entered this knowing full well it probably wouldn't be accepted as a legitimate portrait. Since the challenge description included the word creative, I decided to be just that. I don't feel a self portrait has to include your face...

It's my hair on a pillow with sheets surrounding. I love to sleep - what can I say? :) I figured the title would explain the photo, but some thought the sheet to be a shirt or folds.

Oh, and to the commenter who said it comes off as blurry and unfocused - it's called depth of field.

How come someone always enters a lovely evocative image that you cant decide if it meets the challenge? There are rich hints of personality, but is that enough to make a portrait? Grrr, Ill rate this very nice image later.

really debatable whether this is a portrait or not. On the one hand it may capture the essence of you. On the other hand, it appears to be a picture of a shirt and some hair. I'm willing to give you the benefit of the doubt I think.

Challenge aside I do find the image compelling, well composed and well lit.
