 A black-billed Magpie grabs a peanut in the shell and heads for her nest. Iridescent colors revealed by reflection & refraction of the sunlight off the feathers.

Nearly 120 hours after I submitted the original image, I rec'd the following validation message. That's the longest wait period ever, for me.

"We are happy to inform you that your submission to the Peanuts challenge ("Favourite In-Flight Snack") has been validated.

Nice capture, Richard! I got a straight-on-side-shot of a gull like that a while ago, and they are fascinating to look at, all the articulation of what a brd is in a single headlong rush :-)
