I really like the 3d effect on this picture. The well detached flower against the blur background create a great effect. -9

The Deep DOF had a picture by dsidwell titled Rocky Mountains, but really wasn't (//www.dpchallenge.com/image.php?IMAGE_ID=81312). But I trust you're telling the truth. Nice fox glove, too bad about the harsh sunlight.

I like the composition and the background, but think you should have picked a different time of day or shaded the flower to block some of the harsh light

Image looks ever so slightly oversharpened as the bokeh in your background seem to have hard edges instead of being soft and blurry. Nice composition and leading lines.
