It just makes you look and look. The pinhole thing reflects so much more initial maybe even crucial first impression. Wonder what the morphing of peripherals would look like in prose. Oh wait, that would be poetry!
Lovely, lovely. |

Hmmmm. I like it, but that border! Man, what's with the borders?!?!? Actually, it suits this picture nicely. This is a picture that brings a big smile to my face, and I can also smell it, and I love pictures that I can smell. |

I really can't believe this did so badly.
maybe I am just getting out of touch . .
Great shot that would grace the wall of a gallery. |

love how the 'acid wash' has dissolved his head and torso... even the placard is prophetic. |

Pshaw - sorry to bother the voters :P You should look at this as more of an education of the voters. This didn't get the score it deserved, but maybe, just maybe, you will reach one viewer at a time. And someone out there might just open their minds to the possibilities that exist in the photography world.
I think it is awwwwwwwwwesome! |

Whoa, this got a 9 from me :-) Awesome immediacy to this image. So we both got Vlado'd and we both got in the gallery, in this challenge. Cool beans! |

5.54!!???? You got robbed Deb! At gunpoint! This is great! Hmm, I was sure I had faved it during the challenge, but it shows no faves. I'll fix that.
This was one of those highly successful entries that did not have the broad appeal for a high average, but totally nailed it for the people who appreciate such stuff. Look at the commenter's average, 8.00!
I think you need to take that apologetic statement off your photographers notes and be proud of this one.

Ridiculous score. At least PH liked it :) I didn't get chance to vote or even look at this challenge, but I find it hard to believe this was only a middle of the pack sort of image. |
