 Alcatraz, from the ferry on my way to work. Always noticed how the prison island stands out against the silhouette of Mt. Tamalpais in the morning light. It looks much better with fog, but unfortunately there was none this week (and no clouds, either). But I had my camera with my so shot it for the challenge anyway, then played around for a while in Lightroom to try to make it pop. Had to shoot pretty wide open (5.6 on a 2.8 lens) so shutter speed was fast enough to compensate for the moving boat I was on.

You caught this at a good time of day....The mountains in the background, in my opinion, is slightly too dark.

The deep and rich colors of this takes my breath away. I love dark images, although it doesn't seem that most DPCers feel the same way.
