I voted this a 5.
Gives good action, a sense of anticipation to see if the "tackle" or flag removal will be made or not. I would have liked to see the shutter clicked a little later closer to the peak of the action. I realize this is tougher to do with the shutter lag of a point and shoot. After seeing the original I'd suggest a different crop. Left crop point is good, upper I would go ahead and include the entire player that you have beheaded, and lose a bit off the bottom. I'm not sure of what editing program you are using but if you do a quick curves adjustment picking the white point on the 1 or 9 on the defenders jersey, this photo will really pop a bit more. |

Good, but a little more head room would have been nice. |

I like how the lower legs are blurred. Yet the faces are sharp. Good use of shutter speed. Just wish the crop was higher. I find the guy with no head, a little distracting to me. |

Yes I do see intensity. And I see action. The one bummer for me though is how the heads of a few players are chopped off. Not sure if this how it was framed or it's an intentional crop. Regardless, a pretty good image, that fits the challenge theme. 6/10. |

nice idea, but an imbalanced composition. also, try to find a lower perspective so that you aren't shooting down on your subjects; that will establish more of a dynamic connection with the action and give it less of a spectatorish feel. |
