i love the colors of these lorikeets we had a few attacking our apple tree during summer

have been many places when these guys try and get food when I was back home. I also remember years ago when we were encouraged to feed them in a couple of National Parks......Fortunately times have changed there.
The wire is a great effect here. It is much less apparent on the Bird but creates a great effect through the background, helping blur it out and emphasise the bird as the subject. Its a great example of using what most would see as a problem (shooting through fly screen) into a positive element in the image. The different subtle colours through the background also work well, especially with the vivid colours that the Lorikeet has........... |

It's amazing how little the wire interferes with the bird whilst st the same time giving such an interesting texture to the background. |
