I'm going through the entries, stopping at those images I feel have had the benefit of an unconventional eye and dwelling a little longer to try to see and appreciate what you saw. This is one of those images.
Positives: I like unconventional portraits and this one is no different in that regard. The partial face works really well, the nailed eye focus and the expression hold our interest really well. I love the background too, especially the coloration of the scene - it reminds me of Nik software's 'ink' filter in Color Efex Pro; one of my favourites.
Critical stuff: Nothing
Overall: A very effective image benefitting from a great and brave choice of composition. |

| skimming thru the thumbs this stopped me dead in my tracks, it is beautiful,it is everything that is indescribable about a moment in time you never want to forget. stunning in its simplicity. one can only wonder what has made her catch her breath. a proposal? something frightening? never knowing is the best part. this is one of those shots that does not come along very often. cherish it....i will. 10 and adding to my favorites |
