I'm not very happy about the way this came out technically, but i'm too tired to even consider shooting more.
All comments welcome!
How i did it:
Used the bulb mode (no remote - finger had to be kept on the release button all the time!), zoomed out to 18mm and make a short exposure of an artificial red flower lit by a red LED lamp on a black background (1s maybe), then covered the lens with my hand, zoomed in to around 35mm, placeed the camera facing an old film Exakta VX500 my dad used to use, turned on the light, removed the hand and exposed for around 20s more. There was no way to re-compose the image so it had to be done blindly (actually i drew markers where i should place the camera)
Imported from RAW, cropped, slightly rotated, made adjustment layers for brightness and contrast, levels and color balance. Added unsharp mask and gaussian blur a little bit because of the noise, and added a border. I forgot to turn on the noise reduction and i was too tired to try again (took me around 30 tries to do this anyway - each about a minute long) |
