Nothing wrong the picture - but it lacks the motion, doesn't it' |

Great sunset. The only moving object shows a blurred hand in motion. I would vote to disqualify but every one needs a vote for trying. |

Too much emphasis on the sunset here, and not the runner. |

Very nice sunset image. Doesn't really lend well to this topic. The figure doesn't really imply much motion. |

I liked this picture immediately. The atmosphere of the picture says "Everything has stopped -- time is standing still." Beautiful colors, nice contrast. If only the person's hand (?) wasn't a little blurry. |

Beautiful photo, but not exactly an "action" shot. |

the scene is beautiful. can't say for sure it's stop action. but who can pass up on a glorious sky like that? |

Very peaceful shot. I would like to try this type of photo. Seems to require a good "artsy" eye to pull off. Keep up the good work. |

I love the sky!!! Beautiful coloring though the silhoutte is a little blurry around the arms |

doesn't make me think of stopped action, but it's a lovely photo. |

great pictures, doesn't show to much stopped motion thought |

Nice sunset. Subject seems too small for the image. |

Walking is an activity that makes for crap ass stop motion pictures but I like the sunset |

Man's a little too centered, and you don't need the whatzit at LL, but that's a great sky. Cropped down and left (unless you're one of those purist, won't-crop folk) this is very fine. |

how pretty. doesnt really exemplify 'stopped motion' for me. I think there had to be some challenge involved. |

Not really stopped, but nice. ABQ, NM? |

Nice silhouette, but I'd have prefered a tighter crop on the walker. |
|
|

Would be better if the person walking was on the right hand side of the frame instead of the center allowing more room for him to walk into. |

nice mood shot but subject miles away for this challenge - with arm movement visible! |

I still see a little motion blur. Nice sunset. ;-) |

Beautiful sunset/sunrise and silhouette |
|
|

nice sunset, wish the figure was more to the right side of the frame, walking into the picture |
|
|

The idea is a great one, though I think catching the subject in a position more telling of his activity would help the impact of the photo. |

Looks like he's getting ready to take a jump, both knees bent. Beautiful sky though! |
|
|
04/15/2002 11:46:00 PM |
Although you've stopped some motion, this doesn't scream 'stopped motion' to me when i look at it. |

I love the sky, and its a great sillohette. |

Beautiful Sunset, some blur on your subject. |
|
|
04/15/2002 03:42:00 PM |
simply beautiful... i love the horizon and and and that guy....see that guy? yeah, the one walking there. splendid...just marvelous... seriously though, it's a good picture. |

I would vote high on this shot for a sunset challenge but it isn't making the cut for a stopped motion challenge. The ony moving item in the photo is the human and there is motion blur on his hand... |

Beautiful picture but I miss the stopaction. framed well though. |

Pretty background. I think the stopped-motion subject is too small in this picture. Maybe crop a bunch (if possible)to bring the subject closer. Actually, given the lighting, it looks like it might be very difficult to get a fast enough shutter to truely stop the motion, but I could be wrong. |
|
|
04/15/2002 09:23:00 AM |
I see a motion trail on the hand. |
|
|
04/15/2002 09:07:00 AM |
I am not certain butm it sure looks like the arm has a motion blurr. Nice shot but it does not work in this challenge for me. At least it is more original than endless falling people, pets and drops of water (one of which will win this cliche ridden contest). |

those colors are great, but the stop action isn't |

I think a less central framing woul dhave been stronger, perhaps with the person more the the right ? Nice silhouette though. |
