The full-color version just looks like a sepia-toned version of the B/W. In fact, I did MAKE a toned version of this, but in the end decided people would think it was a color image :-)

I'm sure some may not like the abstract nature of this sandscape (and that's too bad), but I LOVE it! The shadows, light, texture and tones are just wonderful. Sometimes, simple is better. This would look beautiful framed and hanging. A 10 from me...

Fence with shadow on natural beach sand - magnificent! The interplay is exquisite, the tonal balance is beautiful, the simplicity with the complication is perfect! Wonderful work!

38 Comments side challenge:

Nice texture focussed image - however, there is only so much intrinsic interest in the scene and although it is well executed (I particularly like the fence shadow), I think the scene places a cap of 7 on your image.
