A couple of pileated woodpeckers shot from my desk! I was working on a challenge entry and spotted these guys behind me in the reflection of my glossy monitor. They stayed just long enough for me to fumble around with a lens and camera settings and rattle off a few frames through the window.
When they flew away, I checked out the captures on the back of my camera and glanced up to see a huge hawk fly off from the same spruce tree. Geez... what else is in there, penguins?
