I am so pleased with the result... and so is my wife ;-) She didn't fell in the lake in vain, hehe.

This photo was quite an adventure for my wife and me. We drove about 60km to finally find a lake suiting our needs. Then we had to install a stool in the water, which is much more harder than it sounds: the lake's bottom was quite unstable. Once the balloons were inflated, we started the shooting session, and of course, the wind started to blow in the wrong direction!

We managed to get a few good shots, before my wife finally fell into the water, which was very foreseen ;-)

Anyway, a very pleasant way to spend a Sunday afternoon!

They sky was plain blue as it was shot in the middle of afternoon, the pastel tones were added in post-processing.
As for my wife standing above the water, I placed a stool just under her feet, just below the water level.

Can I ask? How did you get those colors? Is that really the color of the sky or did you tint it and how did you get your wife to stand in the middle of a lake? Beautiful shot I love it.

I've just been looking through the balloon photos and although I've only looked at the top 10 so far, this one is easily my favourite!

The composition and idea are nice, but what really makes this one stand out are the wonderful colours, which compliment everything else perfecty.

Very well done, shame it wasn't top three, definitely deserved to be!
