I like what you were trying for. Maybe try some different perspectives to get a bit more intimate.

I really like the foreground crispness and the sparkle and shine off the sand grains and the stone. The lighting is solid on the sand, but the shadow cast by the stone adds tension to your image,IMHO. 6
