| Heida, I personally want to say this is the most outstanding shot I have seen in quite awhile. This is one of those rare wow shots that everyone wants to achieve. A big congratulations on an outstanding shot that is well deserving of a ribbon. |

| I'll give 2 thumbs up on this one. Not even Simon can knock this print, it is absolutely awesome. The only thing that I see in a negative manor is the way that the horizon looks, it gives the sense that the heavily clouded sky was added into the picture. If it is authentic, then that is quite a coimcidence. |

Thank God this won! I would have been so disappointed if it didn't. I thought it was Nazgul because I figured it was you in the photo. This is by far my favorite photo on DPC... possibly anywhere.

Heida, one day i must come to your native land - the skies there are awsome with plenty of buring potential - we could have so much fun! lol
I feel that you see what i see when looking at a scene - kind of moody and what others may think as ugly, but in a beautiful way (if that makes sense). The kind of scene where people will look out of their window and moan.
For what it's worth, you are now my official fave DPC photograoher - by a long shot. Makes me want to shoot again looking at your new images.

hehe I guessed right, this does take place in Iceland. Is it just me or the skyes are always too low in altitude there, do people often get struck by lightings over there? Whas your model in any risk of that when you took it? :)) Anyways, it's a wonderful shot, congrats for the ribbon!!!

A different shot, and I like it alot. I will be interested to see how much, if any, post processing went into this one. The sky is awesome, with having the lighter clouds around her head. I think the cropping/framing is perfect and the contrast and lighting give just the right dramatic feel to the photo.

| With almost 400 entries, it would be hard to pick out a single photographer - unless that person had an incredible and unique style. But I expect that is the case - another stunning image from Iceland! There are not enough adjectives to describe the emotions this image invokes. It's a 10 now.. remove the border and it's an 11. (If you are not from Iceland - my sincere congratulations on being able to shoot in the same way she does.) |

The placement of the figure in this image in relation to the sky is what makes it work so well..very dramatic, made more so by the uninterrupted skyline.

| Wow, what an image, best so far in this challenge. The gradient in the sky is perfect to match the position of the women, combine that with the dress and it makes me think of an angle (and I now see your title .....). To be really nitpicking, I would desaturate the green patch bottom right to match the color of the rest. |
