Branded Consumerism The idea behind this photograph is to provide commentary on society's obsession for designer products. People give more importance to the printed logo, which is most times blatantly and shamelessly big in size, than to the quality of the product they are spending their hard-earned money on.
First I thought, my assumption for the money being hard-earned might be misinformed, misunderstood, or misplaced. May be even prevaricated. It might very well be, at least in some cases. I don't deny it. But how can you explain someone spending their month's worth of salary on a purse that has some English alphabet written all over or on a shirt that has a brand-logo of a size that competes with an advertisement printed on the back of a double-decker bus?
I can't.
So here I am...wearing one of the most recognized brands in sunglasses. I am so consumed by this "designer" thing that if I am wearing something designer, I will go extra length to actually show that to the world to satiate my lame ego.

- SP...wish I had a better model though
- fridge magnets on forehead
- 500W home depot shop-light and 70W table lamp on sides
- 5 sec delayed shutter, released by a remote
Didn't have much time for this. 2-clicks to set-up lighting/focus/exposure, 5-clicks with magnets on face, and 2 edits (color and bw). I hope I conveyed the concept to voters.
