Among the winners, it seems that you are the only one who did not convert the image into greyscale. Most of them did. You deserve to bag the blue. IMHO |

Hearty congratulations. 10 from me.
At f/14 you were pushing the boundaries of that superb lens as it starts going soft around there. Only solution, take a more flat perspective, pen parallel or almost parallel to your "focal plane". (P82, D700 manual), but you already know that...You can still get the angled composition you wanted but more DOF throughout. Nit pick. Great image. |

Congratulations! That broke 6, all right. It has the same theme as the idea I had but which I never got around to do... |

This is just a classy shot with great lighting, color and sharpness. You did great with the diffuse lighting along the barrel of the pen. Only possible critique which is just a personal preference is perhaps shoot with a smaller aperture to broaden the depth of field and show the entire pen in focus. But I just want to see another shot to choose which is better. It doesn't really affect the vote here. |

Pretty image, but I am NOT going to use a fountain pen! Had to a few times in elementary school and I was always leaving nasty looking blots of ink on the page. I knew I would never grow up to be a calligrapher ;-) |

Very beautiful.
Almost perfectly.
The diagonal line from the left above angle had approached the perfection. The photograph gets a high score of me. |
