The processing is elegant and yet bold. The colors are vibrant and almost holographic. The 3 petals are interesting with their archs and swirls. The detail is magnificent. The DOF from flower to stem is really intriguing. The fine and very thin yellow border is tasteful and an addition to the photo. Love the title...very clever. I don't get how the petals are allegedly not in focus or, how the thin yellow border detracts the eye away from the entire photo when there's so much going on in it. LOL I also don't understand how one can say that the 3 petals are bothersome??? But, well, there's my comment on your shot added to the rest too now. :) ETA: Had I done this...it would have been a 3.2 ROFL!!! ;)

| Don't know what doesn't work with this shot, but something doesn't. Technically, it is good. The colors look over-processed and maybe even harsh. The petals seem to be going every which direction. It is weird - this is a good shot and a good edit, but for me it is like fingernails on a blackboard. |

| The yellow border is just enough of a different yellow to draw my attention away from the flower. But beautiful work otherwise. |

| my eye first goes to the center of the Gerber Daisy then to the petals...for me the center of the flower is your main subject not the petals |

| A lovely photo, with rich colors, but it kind of bugs me that the three petals (which arguably due to the challenge theme become the main subjects of what the voter is looking for) are not in focus. I also think the middle petal takes on less importance because it is shadowed by the other petal. |
