 This is taken during the BVI spring regatta.
3 great racing yachts are lined up for the start signal which is seconds away...

The Orange buoy in the photo that has been mentioned in the comments is one end of the start line for this yacht race. I felt it should belong in the photo to show why the yachts are positioned as they are. However I also respect the fact that maybe for some it drew ones eye away from the yachts.

I knew this would not be a top 10 photo but I do not understand why 2 people would vote a score of 1.

i like this, but the orange ballooon is a major distraction (small element but due to its colour it is a major distraction), but as far as your 3 subjects are considered, all I can say is PERFECT CHOICE

Timing is everything.
3 different colors of boats and no huge distracting corporate logos anywhere to be seen.

I would have liked to have seen the full boats. Also the buoy is a more prominent subject than the blue boat to my eye.

Nice shapes. It's clearly a race, but they seem oddly static. Wish there'd been a bit more splash against the hulls to convey speed.
