The trick is two beautiful faces not quite lining up, which is creating a third, frightening face... an allegory about not fitting in and not being understood. |

I gave this a 7 -- I didn't want to, because I found it creepy, but it was captivatingly creepy! |

I gave this a 9. I love the bizarre appearance.
My daughter used to wear very heavy makeup for performances on her high school drill team. I joked that we needed a paint scraper to remove it. We bought a similar mask one day because it looked like her drill team makeup. She brought it in and showed it to the drill team director, announcing that this would be much easier and faster for the team. |

I almost wrote this off as a snapshot, but something stopped me. There's something about the pose and the tones and the soft focus that makes this feel timeless. I like it a lot. |

I like the flowers, but the mask is a bit creepy. Lighting is a little strong (losing detail on the gloves). |

this image is so cool!! really gets the intrigue going but I somehow feel it could be so much more....slight desat or colour shift..i don't know something just tells me it would be great to play around with colour in this image and you would create a whole new feel to it. well done. |

I'm going through the entries, stopping at those images I feel have had the benefit of an unconventional eye and dwelling a little longer to try to see and appreciate what you saw. This is one of those images.
Positives: This is a most interesting image - childlike but surprisingly dark too. Fabulous colours and the eyes are amazingly captivating. The matching flowers are a nice touch too.
Critical stuff: Nothing at all.
Overall: A really great image. |
