Great try but looks "too forced" for me. Don't know anyother way to explain it. Good technology to get it though. Nice focus and good crop. Good subject and composition. Just can't explain why it is only a 5. Sorry PTL |

Very clever idea and well executed. The colors are wonderfully bright and saturated, focus is very good, and the composition is pleasing. The candle flame is just right, not being too bright, and the glow of the votive is nice too. You found a simple and unique way to meet the challenge. Great job and one of my favorites. 10 Good luck! The colors in this are simply awesome. I really like how they "frame" the candle. For some reason, the flame being off-center kinda bothers me. Maybe because it is so close to being right in the middle. Great work. karmat |

I don't know how you got a CD to reflect those colors, but its really nice. Having the candle and CD immersed in blackness really makes the subject stands out. Only thing I can think of that would impprove the shot would be the removal of whatever is behind the CD, (by changing shooting angle, etc.) |

Wow! Prettiest picture in the review! Very good color! Dumb suggestion: landscape mode, closer to the CD and show less of the candle, as not needed. 9 Swash |

I would have tried to center the flame just a little more, but this is still a good photo. |

Great colors and lighting. I like the way the colors rise with the heat. |

Well done. This strikes me in the more abstract side, but still meets the challenge well. Striking vivid colors are always a good thing. Nice job - Inspzil |

This is a great shot. Good depth. Great color. My pleasure to rate this. :-) How many shots did it take and did you try it with a little shorter shutter speed. Turbo |

The colors are great! The negative space is great. The focus is good. Now to be nittpicky the flame should have been centered with teh CD hole, but the candle should be centered too. So you needed a different candle :-P I like this shot though, really nice. |
