A smoke photo. Wanted to use this in the Fine Arts challenge, but @#@$%$ dial-up kept that from happening. I wonder how many Fine Arts shots will be in this Free Study? Before inverting the colors, this was white smoke against a blue background.

In Gimp - Levels, Invert colors, anisotropic noise reduction, crop, rotate, levels, USM, scale to size, optimize for Web.

I *hate* smoke photos, I hate jellyfish photos and I hate baby photos, but in this challenge all 3 were transformed by the photographer, and got 10s from me.

kinda looks like a picture from smoke trail from incense sticks...but seems too grainy and not crisp enough for me. 5

Overall I'm generally not a fan of smoke swirl shots, sorry. In this case it will interesting to see how you finish up as you've softened the swirls and gone with unconventional crop and border. Best of luck to you.
