Thanks for the comments, surprised so many people didn't get the connection! Score does not bother me, just in case some wondered. I expected this to bomb with respect to the score, but I'm pleased with the time folks took to comment.

In answer to the comments:

Exit...there were plenty of death exits in the challenge...this is another one..."After"...for me this is an ethereal representation of how I envision the journey after death. Take from it what you want, see, or feel! This image is a personal favorite.

I still can't believe the low score on this one.

Lovely painting effect. Would probably look awesome printed huge on a canvas.

I disagree with removing the two foreground trees - I very much like them there. In the context of this challenge and therefore the impetus behind this shot, those two form the gateway, don't you think? I love the almost embossed/metallic/silk feel of this. Don't know if that can be replicated.

Can you clue us in as to what the connection is? Please :)

Lovely. Lot of people don't see where you're going either.

I like this image a lot. The colors and abstract nature of it are very appealing. I just am having some trouble seeing how this meets the challenge of photographing an exit.

I really like this as a kind of abstract shot. The smooth gradient of color is very pleasing.

I have no idea what this has to do with any form of exit. I would say it doesn't meet the challenge, or the connection is very obscure...but I like it.

I do things like this but for the brown, which I am getting good at. But since I like this style 10

Looks like a Monet. Love the soft pastel colours, and it has great lines. Definitely an abstract, and metaphorical interpretation of the challenge.

Gorgeous image - great colors, and I'm a sucker for blur. I'd give it a 9, but don't quite see how it meets the challenge, so a 7 it is.

I really like this blurry image, but I can't see any exit. In an \"Abstract\" challenge at least 7, but here much lower. Sorry.

I like the abstract but not sure it has any tie to exit theme but maybe I am missing it.

This is magnificent! A very strong vertical construct, combining nice blends of light green to blue to sky blue to purple, with a horizontal underlayment of light green and light blue, and a background of tan to dark green to light green.
This gives a very peaceful feeling, relaxing, like looking at trees or plants and a lake.
Definite a gallery quality shot. Fine Art at its best!

Great abstract shot. Nothing about it really says "exit" to me other than the title. I'm not really into abstracts, but this one caught my eye for the colors and the lines. Very beautiful.

Superb. Somewhat OOB but I do get the feel (hopefully correctly) that this was shot for, not shoehorned.

Great dream sequence with wonderful colour and lighting.
