Harrison is a doll and very alert! I love baby pictures. This is a great capture but the focus is off and his eyes seem a bit blurry as a result. Trying to get them sit still when they are awake is a challenge in itself. A 5

Lighting: Good, with expressive catchlights.
Pose: not much can be done with an infant this small, but I would not have cut off his arm.
Background: works, and you do not appear to have much choice.

congrats on the new baby.

Cute baby, but the image is out of focus. I think the colors and contrast could be tweaked a bit to maximize this adorable image. :o)

Congratulations. Hope you are saving for college. I always find these start of life photos amazing, and though there isn't much you can do during shooting them, a tight crop that shows only a signle color backgroud might focus more attention on this little future superstar.

Seems to be a bit soft in focus.

Such a cutie! I love his name, too.
The photo appears to have lost some detail or something during processing. (I bet the original looks great.)

this is an adorable baby.

The lighting seems kind of harsh and the colors saturated, giving him almost a cut-out look. The last baby picture I did, which had some similar issues, I ended up converting to a duotone so that the emphasis would be on the baby's cute expression and not on the surrounding colors.

Cute baby - nice colors and exposure. Seem a bit soft.

Cute, but a bit blurry.

Not quite in focus ... cute kid though.

Cute little bugger. Hard to get a good focus on the eyes with a squirming baby, but I think that is what is needed, mostly.

Sweet but a bit OOF

My what a cute boy! Unfortuately this shot doesn't do him justice. This shot suffers from unimaginitve lighting. From the harsh shadows around his face and arm on the left side of the shot, it looks like you used the on board flash. You are better off setting up a bunch of house lamps if you don't have other lights. Move them around till you get nice shadows and highlights and TURN OFF THE FLASH! You also probably need to use a tripod to get camera still enough for good sharpness.

Image looks out of balance, crop could be looser.

Beautiful baby!

looks a bit like a snapshot taken with the camera on a mobile phone

harrisson is adorable, but apparently a bit too young to stay in focus.

Cute little fella. He needs some more focus and even lighting.
