TooCool, thanks for the portrait. It was good to see you even if it was for such a short time. Love ya brother.

Hi everybody. That's me on the left and my beautiful wife of 10 years on the right. You should know that TooCool moaned and complained about the lighting conditions. He tried many different locations and this one worked out best. For a spur of the moment shot, I think it turned out very good. I'm sure he appreciates the postive criticism.

TG73, I always look happy and she always looks a little worried. We're Mr. ;-P & Mrs. :-|

Thanks and good work everybody,
RadioFlyer (aka. Bill)

Lighting: The lighting is well balanced, but without a catchlight their eyes are not as expressive as the rest of their face. The top of her hair seems a bit hot.
Pose: Works, although her expression could be a bit better.
Background: is fine, except for the blown out sky.

It's usually hard to get a decent portrait outdoors, against a background of foliage, wiht a lot of backlighting -- you've done far better than most under the circumstances. Good combination of softness and detail, too.

Very nice; love the dreamy quality. Not sure about the "studio" portion of the challenge, as it is debatable whether or not outside is a studio, but it's a good shot nonetheless...so I won't down it for that reason. :o)

This might be a touch oversaturated.

A little over-exposed.

Lovely couple.

Critique: The background is very sharp almost to sharp. A good way to get a good blur in the background is to move the person about 5 feet or more away from the background.

This doesn't look like a studio, or even studio like. Just looks outdoors.

But, just to comment on the photo itself, the Bill's shirt looks overexposed (possibly done in post processint) and It's pretty distracting.

A nice looking couple in decent "outdoor" studio lighting. White sky area top left detracts.

Not sure I like the blurred subject in front of a very sharp background. The background becomes distracting this way, you kinda expect the subjects to be sharp and the background to be blurred.

Nice but the lighting from the sun is ruining the photo.

The sky in the background is unfortunate, it draws a lot of attention - also, it makes the shadows on their faces a little more obvious. Nice expression, good pose.

Great classic pose. The harsh sunlight flattens out the photo though. Taken near noon? Later or earlier in the day would give this a warmer color and more contrast.

It's a nice portrait, but not a studio portrait...

Definitely one to keep for the future - very nice wedding photo - like the gentle focus and soft lighting.

Light in upper left among the leaves distracts.
Nice exposure.

Focus is out and it looks a bit like a snapshot
good luck with the challange though

I think it was cleared out in the Forums that oudside pics would not be considered as a studio portrait, to this would not fit the challenge!

Bill and Kim look a bit out of focus and overexposed. It's quite a standard wedding-shot.

The pose is nice but something odd is happening with the softening along the left edge of her face.

What a lovely couple ... nice formal portrait ... like the softness, don't care much for the background, doesn't look like it is studio environment.

Nicely done. I like how you got the ring in the shot and kept it natural looking. I also like the soft focus. The only complaint that I have is the bright sky behind the gentleman.

Lovely composition, light and love the soft focus. 10~

Sometimes you can make people slimmer by cropping them. Thia is lovely but I'd take a little more off the left. The black is heavyier than the white and so the image feels a bit unbalanced.

DIffuse glow makes this a bit eerie.
