I knew going in this would not register with everyone. Andy Warhol is known fairly well throughout the world and his series of soup cans are fairly well-known too. However, Dan Quayle is not known world-wide, or even by the younger generation in the US. Qualye was Vice President for George Bush Sr. He was most famous for attending an elementary school spelling bee and trying to correct a child on the spelling of "potato". He told the child it should be spelled "potatoe". Of course, he was wrong.

I had to go to quite a bit of set up for this shot. I had to modify the soup can, make an "e" out of an "o" from another can, and paste it on the can. Then, I had to take the top off of the can and fit the top from another green beans can because the new soup cans have a pull top, which did not look like the Warhol soup can.

I had hoped this would do a little better, but thanks to all those who commented.

However, did you know that in my old 1920's dictionary, potatoe is listed as an alternate spelling? I actually remember in school being told that it was an alternate spelling :)

I did not know that. That's pretty funny. Dan's people should have protested a little more. Although it probably wouldn't have helped.

Ha! Love it! I might have desaturated the blues a bit so that the silver of the can would be a bit more neutral. I'm not voting you down for that though! Maybe a little oversharpened?

A classic product shot. Clear, nice detail, and easy to understand. The question I keep asking is could this be done in a more creative manner? Don't get me wrong, it more than meets the challenge. Solid 7.

Nice and simple. But the contrast is a bit high, I suppose.
