 Used a white backdrop. Used natural light near a window for my lighting. Minimal editing. Used a soft focus editing tool on my camera. I purposely, left the shadows lighter than on the origional photograph. Because, the flowers were so delicate and b & w photos seem to be more dramatic, I decided to lighten the picture up just a bit for that purpose. To make the photo delicate.

I've also gotten nailed by the "not prominent enough" votes. A good entry in spite of all the low votes penalizing you for that aspect.

For a Shadows challenge I think the emphasis should be more on the shadow... and if I saw this image outside of the challenge, I would not remark on the shadow ... as it's barely there. Sorry. But, it's just one person's opinion.

It took me a second to grab the shadows out of the background! They're very fine and dainty.

I'm liking the composition but I can't decide if the leaf in the corner is helping or distracting. I also can't decide if the flowers have grain or if they're just fuzzy.

Very subtle shadows, but shadows, nonetheless. I find the subtlety to be part of the charm of this one.

Nice pic...I am sure you are getting hit hard on your shadows....I am sure people are telling you that they are not prominent enough.
