Didn't peg this as you! In hindsight it feels obvious :) Rather surprised it didn't score higher! |

Sorry this didn't fare better. I'm wondering if the background is a bit too busy? I'd have loved it if it was just the guy with the hat. I still love the painterly quality of it though. :) |

Is he crouching in the grass to spy on people? What are they doing and why is there a wind sock on this ridge? This is very rich with possibilities. Nice |

7 - Definitely a nice feel to this, which is enforced by your title. A few elements in the scene detract/distract my imagination though, i.e.: the blue pole(?) with yellow at the top, the 'busyness' in some parts, the windsock in front of the sign (fairly minor) and while also fairly minor, the slight tilt I just find distracts. |

Not many photos manage to successfully imitate an Impressionist painting, but this one does - unexpectedly - in both its light and spontaneous spirit. |

Wonderful. Just wonderful. Lovely textures and colors. And lines.

I really, really like this one.. Very well done. 8 for you.
I am concerned about post processing on this, I have no idea if you did this in camera or in post, but man this would be a full 10 if I knew you did it in camera.. As a matter of a fact, send me an original if you did do it in camera, and I'll bump you up to a 10 right away.. :) |

You've tried to give this a painting's feeling with your use of blur. I don't particularly like it, because it's unrestrained, and the effect obvious. Maybe if instead you had softened your focus with your lens, concentrated on the fellow with the hat in the foreground and let the soft grass disappear into bokeh, not worrying about anyone else, then finished with a lovely golden duotone, I would have been more moved. But I don't see you in your photo, though you might be here; does it mean something to you? |

Wonderful effect that gives the image a dreamy look as if it's a memory of a summer gone by. |
