What I understand is that basic editing requires minimum modification on your image. My style is to "take pictures as is" as much as possible. I am aware that imperpfection can be easily edited in Photoshop but I wanted to make sure my images qualifies because it is not clear to me the limitations of the rules (I have a poor reading comprehension). I now realized why my images are getting very low appreciation which is shown in the votes because of my simple images. Anyway, I would want to learn first to focus on the basics of photography before I move on to "flashy" editing. I think this is not the right time to participate in this challenges. Thank you for your comments. It somehow enlightened me having these flaws. Again, thanks to your support. |

It's a good idea but it is table top, and has to be perfect, because you have full control. It is spolit by all of the dirty marks on the background and there is what appears to be a large bruise on the front of the apple. Also your shadows are secondary to the apple which is the main subject. |

So do I, but the underground is slightly too distracting with the pattern and the small spots of dirt on it. |

I would have spent some time in polishing the apple well, and some dents are visible |

Background is a bit dull and doesn't really seem to go along with the shot. the apple is a good choice in subject though |
