This looks real and sincere and I could see it being in a gallery with a collection of emotive portraits. |

Agh! The dreaded title. Stop it!
Now that I got that out of me, let me tell you how stunning this photograph is. It has some technical flaws, but they seem to hold the image together somehow. Whatever that means. Excellent! Nine. |

A photograph that speaks - great light, contrast *9*
Edit: revisited entry to reconsider scoring: up with 1 point. |

4 - A little cliche for me and nothing making any real call for my attention. I quite like that she is looking out of frame though, but wonder about exploring that more, maybe. Up to 4 from 3. |

lovely shallow DOF, tone of emotion, appears to be a genuine candid. |

I really like the raw emotion in this shot... the softness on the left edge of his face almost give it movement, and I really like the effect.. Overall a good shot.. |

A nice portrait with great eyes and excellent emotion but I don't see this as Fine Art, sorry. Good luck. |

Beautiful eyes. DOF is nice. I just wish it weren't quite so dark... but then again, if it were brighter it might loose the moodiness. |

Your photo is very manipulative, and I find it troubling for that reason. I don't consider it fine art. Whereas it's true that many fine art photos seek to be emotive, or to communicate a message that the photographer wants the viewer to know about, this photo, for me, doesn't do that. Instead, my reaction to it is thought to be predetermined. I would rather know who you are, through your imagery. Perhaps it's in this image, perhaps not, but I feel somewhat manipulated by this, and can't say for sure. |
