Fiancee's table and rug

Shot in afternoon with natural light, with an incredibly cheap camera (paid $35 @ Walmart for it).

Sorry that everyone hated the title, I was just proud that the image was achieved without cropping or sharpening, blur, etc..

The only adjustment made was a selective color.

Well, I'm very happy with this image

Ominous and overpowering. In my top ten of the challenge. Wonderful. 9.

2 - The colors, shape, line and texture don't hold my interest.

Qualifying the title with the minimum edit kills it for me.

I love the patterns meeting along the shadow line on this.

Okay this is a shot that is definitely artistic... Its about art, and this shot exemplifies that. The colors offset each other nicely and its an interesting abstract. Lastly, the grain patterns work well too so overall, I really like it.

Detail of a Rothko. Nice.

bulky title, the shot should mostly be able to speak for itself, no need to tell us about your editing steps, or lack thereof.

good concept but the colors and textures don't do it for me

Honestly I think the title says that you already know the shot doesn't really stand on its own and could only do so with a number of qualifications. I've actually voted some shots like this among the top, but unfortunately the large negative space of the V-shaped shadow dominates too much for my taste. I have to give it a 4. But take a seed of hope in knowing I've been using the 1, 2, and 3 in this challenge more than usual.

What's with the title??? That's not affecting my vote, but it is a bit annoying. Anyway, I like the image, but wish it wasn't blurred.

I think that this needs to be explained a little bit more. Sorry for the sarcasm, but I really don't like to be told what to think by the title. While titles often add a lot to the art, I think that the image should mostly speak for itself.
