First of all I applaud your use of an unconventional angle for this shot. Artisitically you are spot on.
However, apart from the flame, the image lacks impact. It looks like the sky was blue that day, a hit of saturation would help a bit. The composition is a bit centred, which is a little too safe for a shot of this nature, on this site. A crop on the left or right could have helped to throw things off a little, which would have made the viewer look a little longer.
Most pp programs have built-in tutorials, you can probably find some via Google and Youtube, and there are plenty of knowledgable users (not me!) on this site who are quite willing to help. Don't be afraid to ask for help if you feel you need it. You don't need to go to extremes, but learning the basics won't hurt. Especially in a Free Study, which is always an Advanced challenge.
