I'm going through the entries, stopping at those images I feel have had the benefit of an unconventional eye and dwelling a little longer to try to see and appreciate what you saw. This is one of those images.
Positives: An interesting ghostly image for sure and although the figure and chairs are interesting enough, I am transfixed by the reflection - the clarity of the branches of the trees is wonderful and this serves as an excellent anchor for the image - a starting place for the eye to wander from. I really like the lens distortion too and the way it offers up diverging verticals.
Critical stuff: Perhaps a slightly shorter exposure time and a more intact figure might have improved the image but I suspect it would just look different rather than better.
Overall: An interesting image that I am pleased to have been able to view. |
