from the thumb it looks like an impressionist style shot in take or pp; but open it up....wrong! its a swirling maelstrom of vertigo inducing fury. its really quite good. |

Has that "Impressionistic painting" feel to it (even more so in the thumbnail view!) -- glad at least a few people appreciate it!

Yeah, I love this shot. What I think makes it awesome is the fact it looks like a painting and that it has a 3d texture. Very well done on this one |

Greetings from the Critique Club...
I'm probably not the best one to critique this image because I am one of the apparent minority that really likes this shot. In fact, when I first opened it up I though I was going to be critiquing one of the top shots, but was quite shocked when I scrolled down and saw how it did!
To me, this meets the challenge perfectly. I don't get how people missed the parallel lines in this image??? I like the slight angle to it, and the composition of where the people are placed in the image. I actually think it would have been a good entry in the fine art challenge.
Really my only negative is the hot spot in the foreground.
If I had voted in this challege I would have given this an 8 or maybe a 9 depending on my mood at the time.
Keep experimenting.

Almost looks like a watercolor or oil painting. The more I look at it, the more it grows on me. |

Hi
I couldnt tell what is this photo , objects are not clear , there is nowhere to focus on.
Second this , when I look ate to this photo more than 5sec.
I feel like I'm in a boat on rough sea, I feel like I'm gonna be sick.
In my oppinion it would be nice to see this one clear.
I believe you try to make it like oil paint. |

Seems a little distracting for me ... would have found a sharpe focus without the camera shake more appealing .... |

I really like the abstractness of this, and the almost palpable feeling of a texture to the blur. I also like the touches of intense blues against the more muted browns. |

I like the style (although there may be a few who don't), but there not much going on here that's parallel. |

Not really my type of photo but when I run across these types I try to look at them from a different point of view. I like the textured feel to this photo and I definately see the parallel lines. I'm thinking though there is too much pathway showing and some of the bottom of the photo could have been cropped and would have been much more effective. |
