I can see Don's Saint, certainly puts an interesting take on the image. Beautiful imagery.

I see no astronaut, just a flag and a saint.

Fascinating and marvelous. I'm neither pro nor con of the border. And does anyone else see the astronaut? Marvelous.

I'm going through the entries, stopping at those images I feel have had the benefit of an unconventional eye and dwelling a little longer to try to see and appreciate what you saw. This is one of those images.

Positives: What a bold, contrasty monochrome image - one that makes no compromises, I like that. The reflection of the building seeming to billow in the wind like the flag it shares the frame with and makes for a great sense of balance in the image. The clarity of the stars and the stripes towards the top right of the image is superb.

Critical stuff: The border - I won't be the only one taking issue with it but I don't think transecting borders ever work - they just make the viewer want to cast them aside since it is so apparent that they really are blocking our view.

Overall: I really like this - reminds me of a PennyStreet image.

Some people see things around them, others don't. You definitely have your eyes open :)

Cool reflection. It DOES look like the bow of a ship.
