 A piece of glass, was placed on two chairs. The chairs being separated, creating a bridge. The egg was placed on the glass. A white piece of background paper, was placed below the glass, on the floor. Camera was on a tripod, with a remote release. A white LED light, was used to light the egg. It also served to create the light trails. The background was created, by lighting the white background. A blue LED light, created the tones. Lots of experimentation, with time and light. But very fun!

I'm guessing these are overlapping blue plates, with white/purple trim, and the top one is tilted for the egg to slide, and with the stripes refracted through the viscous egg white in some areas. Just a guess, but anyway it's a creative and fun image.
