 Thanks to both of my parents who braved the chilly wind to assist with this shot. My father stood in front of me and hand-fired the on-camera flash from another camera while my mother clicked off the shutter.

My fire poi started falling apart after about 20 shots, and it started raining, so I had to pick the best of those few if I were to pick anything at all. This was the best of them.

Went with the tritone because it was the best way to even out the flesh tones and eliminate background clutter in Basic Editing. I would really, really have liked to clone out the blob on the right (which I think is a neighbor's window).

I'm not enthralled with this shot for a number of reasons, but I went to the effort of taking and processing it, so I'm submitting it anyway. Here goes nothing!
