| gothic look for sure but her expression takes away from the look ... more attitude would have helped .. a little more room on her left too might have added more to the composition ..but nicely photographed and pped. |

| Interesting expression and composition, but for me this feels too tight of a crop, especially given the pose. To me it ends up feeling like a picture of someone trying to fit inside a box or something. |

I'm going through the entries, stopping at those images I feel have had the benefit of an unconventional eye and dwelling a little longer to try to see and appreciate what you saw. This is one of those images.
Positives: I really like this - I like the way that it doesn't try to conform to normal portrait conventions - the folded limbs, the high contrast, the stern expression - more than the sum of the parts.
Critical stuff: Not much - I'd have perhaps smoothed the right forearm just proximal to the wrist band a little.
Overall: Nice work. |
