Why on earth would this need validation? It looks like a school shot, nothing to really hold my interest, but very classic and safe. A 5 |

Lighting: Good light, good catchlight for expressiveness.
Pose: That expression has got to go.
Background: The work done on the background is obvious, particularly in the hair at the top of the head. |

This shot seems to be very flat. The lighting doesn't help to bring out the depth that helps make a portrait different from a snapshot. What is the glow or halo like effect on the left side of his face? Awesome catchlight in his eyes. I gotta figure out how to do tthat so nicely!

Today's youth certainly has a reputation for being straightforward and "in your face." This is a pretty good representation of that ... |

The straight on pose and serious look give a very teenager like feel to teh subject. I might have changed the shirt to a solid color. |

Clear and focused; however it does resemble a driver's license picture rather than a studio portrait...perhaps from the expressionless pose and the centered composition. Reshooting with a more dynamic pose and expression would give you a different result. Good effort. :o) |

The wide angle has distorted his face a little. Maybe it was your intention though. |

Looks more like a mug shot than a portrait. |

Unfortunately this looks a little too much like a passport photo - and maybe the traveler is on something? |

Decent lighting on this shot. There needs to be a little sharper focus on the eyes though. I can see a haze around his outlline that is a bit distracting. |

The focus is too mutch on his nose, it maybe better to use a different lense (if you have a DSLR so you could have some distance between the camera and your subject. |

A bit to flat for my liking, possibly more of a passport shot than a studio portrait. |

A full frontal shot works rarely for portraits, they give the feeling of a mugshot, not very flattering for the model. |

Light is ok, contrasting colours are good but i can't really see any feelings in the photo. Unfortenatly the modell looks a bit bored. |

the distortion is a bit disturbing. But in this case it makes it extra intense as well. |

There seems to be some kind of light halo on the left side of his face. Pretty straight forward shot. Looks like a regular photo, not one that would seem to be taken in a professional studio. |

Your model looks cute but a bit distorted. This isn't a very flattering angle. Nice capture of the eyes.
He looks a bit too close to the background. |

Like your concept, but I don't like the blue fog moving in on the top of his head. |
