 Icy Sporophytes

Actually just a clump of moss on my garden gate post.

I was amazed at the encapsulated item in one of the frozen ice droplets...

I'm also amazed to have climbed to the heady heights of 4th place - thank you so much for those folks who voted for my image.

My hands got so cold taking this - no gloves - that I actually dropped the camera as I came indoors - fortunately no apparent damage!
It lives to shoot again....

I love the fact that this seems to be totally different than other entries. The incadescence of the ice crystals is incredible. Love it!
