Lorie - thanks for the comment. Alas, I forgot to do a write-up before rollover.

This was my first attempt at zooming while the shutter was open. I forget what's called. But here's the run down.

Room was completely dark other than the light from the keyboard.
Shutter speed was 10-12sec.
Apt f/32.
Used my 300m telephoto/macro lens.
Lens was completely zoomed out and at 6sec (during the shutter timer)started turning the lens till it stopped. This brings the light out as thought it's a motion blur but not. The coolest part for me is all the keys are flat. But by doing the zoom, it gives the impression they're raised.

The shakyness worked here because of it being a PC. Was looking for more smooth light, but even on a tripod, my hand made it shake a lot. Need to figure out how the pros do it. =)

I feel that the negative space took away some of the impact of this photo. Of course, the black and white was the only way to go with this! What a wonderful feeling of movement. How was it created?
